Mission and Vision
The College of Charleston SafeZone program is sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Student Programs and Services. SafeZone are committed to creating and maintaining a safe and inclusive campus environment for all students regardless of their gender identity, expression or sexual orientation. SafeZone will increase the campus community’s understanding and awareness of issues faced by LGBTQ persons through education and advocacy.
The vision of SafeZone is to provide a safe space for all members of the College of Charleston community in solidarity with LGBTQ communities, free from all forms of discrimination, intimidation, hate crimes, bullying, hostility and intolerance.
